I work both mine at the same time :boxing:

The rabbits tend to give just one ferret the run around, so i like to force em out!!

Ill be bringing the kit into the game soon so then i can run three at a time :gunsmilie:

if you dont wanna loose them, get a ferret locator

f**k me, the old timers must be laughing from their grave! What a load of bollocks!

I've done far more ferreting without a locator than I have with, and I've never lost a ferret yet! In fact, my locator is only used in the same way as a line (as someone has mentioned before).

Ferrets get lost because of a lack of knowleadge, not a lack of locator!

Good luck

how many rabbits have you lost underground which are dead or wounded in all that time you didn't use the locator? in my eyes anyone sending a ferret underground without a collar on is irresponsible. locators brought ferreting out the dark ages in my opinion :thumbs:

i would never buy a locater waste of money in my mind because my thing has never laidup and always comes out when theres no rabbits left in the burrow........

I use anything from 1-3 ferrets at a time, because I have 3 collars. It depends on the overall size of the warren, number of holes, etc etc. If I had more collars I would probably use more ferrets at once if it was necessary.

And I never enter a ferret without a collar. Yes your ferrets will come back eventually if they kill underground but its not my idea of ferreting to leave dead or slowly dying rabbits everywhere underground. Yes Ive done it before when my ferret has come back before Ive broke through, or when Its extremely hard digging (ie f****n great tree roots) but Id rather dig to the rabbit then get onto the next warren quicker than wait ages for a ferret to come back.

Plus theres always the possibility of your ferret getting stuck or into trouble. Id rather be able to rescue the wee guys than leave them in a tomb.

Listen to magwitch!!!!! :thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

I can garantee you an invest in a locator will be the best thing you can do for the safety and locating of your ferrets than a shitty bell.

It may be the price of the things that put alot of people of getting one :yes: But if you are to be a responsible and caring ferreter then buy a locator :yes:
