This is one of those places that I've popped in to every now and again, just for a bit of a nose around! Today, I've spent a little time reading through the posts and generally poking about and decided it was time I came out of the shadows!

Right, my name is Bob, I live in Devon and I make knives. (This is beginning to sound like an AA meeting, "My name is Bob and I'm an... well, you get the picture!)

There now follows a long list of "I used to's"

I used to: Fly hawks, game and rough shoot, work ferrets, work lurchers, sea and game fish, etc, etc, until an unfortunate encounter with a quantity of explosives!

Now, at 63, walking is a major problem, and frequently impossible, but my left arm still works well enough to make my ancient anvil ring. I occasionally get out coarse fishing, but most of the time is spent hitting lumps of hot metal with lumps of cold metal or sewing up leather for knife clothing.

I'll give it a while and then do the sponsor thing and perhaps post a few of my offerings.

So, once again, Hi, All!

Hey Bob and welcome to the forum.

Good to see you're still fishing and even without seeing your smithing, I'm already excited to see what you do :D

I hope you enjoy your stay here.
