Tiercel 6,986
I see you made it with a hand made net, nice job, bit of a waste of a hand made net though, ( just a netters joke) A couple of observations about the way the net is set that may help you. Try and get as much tension in the top line as you can even if it means addiing guy ropes to the the end poles That will allow you to drop the height of the net on the poles without the net sagging to much between the poles, the less height you have the deeper the belly of the net will be, the deeper the belly the more bag this will create = more rabbits caught. Well done on knitting the net, you would be surprised how many give up. TC Edited August 14, 2013 by tiercel 3 Quote Link to post

The one 8,477
As said the top line could be tighter but apart from that its looks a nice net Quote Link to post

Tiercel 6,986
Just looking at the photos again I noticed that the bottom selvedge seems a little large. Did you do that on purpose? If so what was the reasoning behind it? TC Quote Link to post

Tiercel 6,986
Hello tc this is my first attempt and i thought selvedge was meant to be same top and bottom i am just gonna have to see how i get on with it any advice would be good what do you do for selvedge on bottom cheers Dan Dan, The selvedges are normally the same top and bottom that is why I asked why you had made one a lot larger than the other. Did you use the same mesh board to make both the selvedges? TC Quote Link to post
daniel123 21
Hello again Tc idid use the same mesh board for the whole net now dont laugh i will tell you what i did. I hung the net up and threaded a pole through the mesh then hung some of those lead teardrop fishing weights on and left it for a while to pull the mesh in the right direction then added the selvedge right or wrong idont know but adding the selvedge was pretty easy thanks again Dan I Tc i have had a look at picture and i see what you mean it looks like i have missed a mesh on close up i will have to check it out Edited August 22, 2013 by daniel123 Quote Link to post
