How Long Now?

How long now before your birds will have finished do you recon, im waiting on the last tail feather to come down and im all done, i had to resist taking him out early was going to start in a week but managed to hold myself off lol

Carnt wait now !!! That creance is looking better everyday, hard to keep my hands off it ha

this is the 1st moult iv gone through but shes just got the one left to grow down now. wouldnt mined a bit of advise on the next stages, ie re mannig ect.

What bird are you flying, i just spend a week walking the bird on the fist to get him used to everything again, drop his weight slowly until i get a response im happy with, then train him like you would a new bird, except it will be quicker as he has done it all before, usually takes two weeks from start to finish

you should find a mentor mate, make things much less stressful for yourself and the bird, I like mine teathered whilst manning but will free loft once he is back in the swing of things, I will free loft my new harris male once he is trained and working , never moult a bird again on block or bow, free lofting all the way from now on for me

Too soon I'd say. Leave it a month or so then reduce the rations over a week or two till she comes to the fist for food in the mews.. When she does creance on and off you go. Had my male flying free again in 3 days this way last year.
