Shot this 3 shot group tonight at 25 meters when zeroing ready for Sundays HFT with the HW98.

 

Luckily I had a witness watching me shoot the group as so I'm told this sort of group is impossible with a springer .

 

Not bad hey lads for a springer .

Can you still call it a Group,if the 3 pellets went throgh the same hole

 

My 97 is with SFS just now getting a stage 2 tune,cant wait to get it back.

A while ago Si you did a video with Davy and in it you were seen to shoot and kill a rabbit at 62 meters (totally clean shot). Have you seen the recent traffic on some of the facebook groups?. It seems that everybody is out doing each other, i think that the last post i read somebody was claiming a clean kill a over 100mtrs. NOW that is downright crazy in my view. I will stick to my boring 30-40mtrs.

Them 98 barrels are excellent aren't they, the weight makes so much difference to the rifles performance.

Cheers Mick, Im trying to find a pellet that cuts the edges of the paper a bit neater

You want one of those pellets with serrated edges, increases the cutting force over a smaller area of fibre so less tearing!

don't know about springers being inferior guns i have an old 22 webley stingray that i tuned a few years ago and i can shoot 15mm groups at 25 yards. the gun itself could probably do better with a better man than me lol, you only get out what you put in
