micky 3,325
not been out for sometime after an operation on my hand, went in the neighbours garden wanting a 3/4 grown rabbit as we like them that size with garden taters and kidney beans, I don't think I will be able to set another imbra or fenn trap again so it be jubys only half the prolem is getting the rabbit out of the trap when its been caught ,with a fenn or imbra you have to use your hands, with a juby you can use your feet. micky 3,325
put your pictures up paul, I like to see them and I know a lot more people do as well, I also think that anyone who looks at the trapping and snaring section and criticizes pictures of lawful methods of pest control being carried out should be banned. 1 Quote Link to post

DIDO.1 22,844
....but still use some common sense, some people are passionate about hares and the good sport the can give, couple this with the fact that in some areas hares are few and far between or get a hard time and wireing them for a bit of a thrill gets peoples backs up. If they are in good numbers and its needed pest control then knock yourself out but no need to rub it in peoples faces to wind fellow sportsmen up.....we have enough enemies as it is. 1 Quote Link to post

micky 3,325
to me snaring hares is legal ,so end of , if you come on to a forum about snaring you should come on expecting to see animals caught by this method , as for rubbing in other peoples faces mister teapot is just showing pictures that he , and like minded people enjoy doing, as for " wireing them for a bit of a thrill " would that not be the same thrill you get when you are netting ,lamping , shooting , hawking, or coursing hares.? 1 Quote Link to post
MR TEA POT 1,287
For a start I don't snare for thrills yes I get enjoyment out of setting snares and catching rabbits or hares its pest control. A bit of land I go on as a fair few nbers of hares the farmers wants them reducing NOT wiping out. I'm not rubbing it in anyone's face either I know some folks land does not have many hares on I'm just fortunate that mine does and the fact I like snaring so ill combine the two if you get my jist, all the hares I catch are used NOT chucked in a hedge bottom to rot. I will put pics up for folks to see just got to spin some wires up now? o god numb finger tips here I come? 2 Quote Link to post
