Good game 'it could of went either way.

Home Nations should be brought back.

if thats the best we can do , you can forget getting to the world cup. I thought 2nd 1/2 england were far the stronger team no dout about, Thought Hart was poor, the goal from miller , Hart watched it all the way and moved to slow shold have done better and with 1st goal , England made hard work of a easy scotland side, not looking good i dont think for the qualifying, from to night's game

I thought Scotland were very good in the first half Ray, yes Hart had a poor game, but I think Scotland just came out of the blocks and didn't let England settle, there were some good England performances though, Cleverly, Baines in particular and Welbecks looking in good nick, Engkand dug in showed some character and eventually got the result...

I'm not disappointed with that performance personally I think both sides deserve a lot of credit..

yeh Baines Welbeck was very good got man of the match, yeh Hart poor, and if you think about Hart hasnt played well for England the last 3 games, i think he should try sombody else.? I just thought England should have control the game better, than what they did, and put the jocks under, like they did 2nd 1/2. But scotland went for it and fair play got 2 goalls from it. But i still think England dont convince for the bigger games against alot harder teams than the likes scotland, ihope iam wrong, but dont think i am.

It's almost rebuilding again with England now, chamberlain, Zaha, Welbeck, jones, cleverly, Wilshere, Baines etc... the old guard are all but gone, Lamps is still quality but his time is coming, and Gerrard will be the same soon...

I just hope Hodgson has the balls to let these youngsters play with a bit of freedom, most of these young lads play for the biggest sides in the country, so they should handle the pressure...

That friendly will do them good, they got sharper as the game went on, Scotland just ran out if steam, you can only play so long on passion, England should get after the big sides like Scotland done tonight though, with the extra bit of quality they have they could upset a few,

Your right though Ray, with the quality players England have had in recent years, perhaps they should have achieved more, problem is Germany, Spain, Italy, Brazil, France etc are no mugs lol

true

With regards the anthems   Flower of Scotland has a real meaning to me, I carried my best friends coffin to a lone bag pipe player playing it, his father was Scottish.... It always gets me, and l

SCOTLAND WERE FANTASTIC BETTER FIGHT AND BETTER SUPPORT :feck: :feck:

If that were the case you would have won...coming from behind twice (ooooh matron) then Lambert slotting home the winner shows a bit better fight i would say ;)

Morning baw! .....baw?

 aye what can I say lol, we'll done England (through gritted teeth). I don't think anyone can critisise the passion show by both teams. Scotland were running on adrenalin for most of the game and looked f****d after 60 odd minutes. As soon as I seem the England subs coming on I feared the worse. The England goal from lampard was basically a free header, class header but a cheap goal to lose. The game panned out pretty much as I suspected, nothing between the teams, England looking nervous at the beginning, Rooney doing f**k all..... :D as friendlies go, England would have learned more about themselves in that game than any. Bottom line is, two pretty average teams in an old fashioned atmosphere driven game. England in the end resorting to professional fouls to break up Scotland's attacks, if only they yellow cards counted :) thought the red had a good game, wouldn't mind getting him in the CL.

The joke is gone.............lol

Sorry but i'm not having "we run out of steam" folks. Were not a wee football side from up the road....many off the players last night play in England and a few from Celtic.... so they are top fitness lads. Ive heard alot about England lads not being up to speed either... :icon_eek: well i'm sorry but if your getting thousands of pounds a week you should be fit 365 days of the year.....ffs they only get a few weeks off min!!

I dont like Strachan but i kind off agreed with his post match interview where he said all the chopping and changing of players altered the game after 70mins. That would not happen in a proper game. I think a draw would have been a great result, yes England looked a tad stronger but i'm very proud of the passion the Scots lads showed and to go to Wembley and put in a performance nees to be applauded. To many times ive watched Scotland in the past be walked over by weaker opposition.....whether this new lease of life is anything to do with the Strachan/Mcgee combo is yet to be seen but if England are ment to be one of the top teams in the world then we should be hoping the next tournament we should be qualifying for.
