mickeyfn19 16
hi all. heres what happened. me and a few mates were out a couple of days ago and one of them was attack for reasons i shall not go into. a couple of days after the fao rang my friend up (who has a shotgun cert) and said that if it happens again then his license will be revoked!! he didnt do anything other that actually try and get between them. he didnt cause any bother and he meant well it doing what he did. what are your thoughts on what was said by the fao. i personally think it's bullshit. pritch 335
well the gun lads would probably have a better insight but i can't see how you could lose your license for trying to prevent an illegal act (an assault) but i would seek legal advice or give basc/sacs a ring if he's a member people just tend to let things like this ride & then it's to late when something does happen
mickeyfn19 16
is there really anything he can do though because you know, its the law saying "aarrrrr revoke it all!!!"
events co-ordinator 353
is there really anything he can do though because you know, its the law saying "aarrrrr revoke it all!!!" Not true they need grounds to revoke that will stand up to a legal challenge in court (appeal) if the guy is a SACS member then his legal fees will take care of it. Now we have a situation where if the guy as stated just intervened to stop trouble the police can mess him about because the incident has already happened if he now joined sacs theinsurance would'nt cover it. he would still have specialist advice and we would still deal with the police. PM me if any of this comes up.

Qbgrey 4,089
this is why insurance is the way forward.not just for accidents that really happen, but anyone trying to sue/take you to court /basically tell lies.....the insurance will fight the case ,if not you need to pay for solicitors yourself to fight something that wasnt your fault in the first place......
