Thanks for the advice mate, i went out last night just to have a look whats about and double check for any potential dangers and there were rabbits everywhere just hoping around so all looks good, i will update my thread tonight, let us know what happens with bubba today bud, when do you recon he will be free?

He went free for a bit on Saturday mate but not for long, an yesterday with the carcass I still had him on the creance, don't think it will be a problem now mate, will make sure he is on weight, then show him some bunnies and hope he nails one, but if his performance is anything like yesterday on the dead rabbit, I think there will be one very unlucky bunny this week at some point

Honestly mate i carnt wait to come on and see the update of him on his kill, i love redtails and would love to fly one in the near future, there stunning.

I have my beam slightly wider than when I am shooting u can always start wide and narrow it dwn to suit you it's a good crack lamping with hawks atb pal walshy

Thanks mate will set it at half and see how it goes, i got within 10 yards last night so an easy slip shouldnt be hard to come by

I started mine by getting a lad to run with rabbit lure on lamp after 2 flights with a good reward he clicked mine got thrown about more on lamp until they learn still a good crack

Will see how i get on, i can tell he is ready, hes getting abit restless on his perch and cheaping at me when i walk past the window, so with any luck a pic will be on at the end of the night with him on a rabbit, fingers crossed

im realy enjoying this thread, ive just started manning my redtail male. he is 2. 5. 3 at the moment and is hoping to the fist. flew at 2.1 last season.

How did u go on with the beam size pal ?had a look last night myself had a bunny first slip and my mate took the second bunny then we called it a do covers still too high yet in most places kand get yourself a head torch for trading off rather than a lamp shinning every its miles easier pal atb walshy

I think i put the beam too wide, at a distance they were just eyeshine wheras if i had it tighter it would have lit up the full rabbit and probably catch the birds interest better, at least i know for next time
