Ironically, isn't that pretty much what the Police / Media are, and have been, doing all along? They're, really quite effectively, exposing these guys to trial by 'public opinion'. Months, if not years, before they ever get a chance to defend their own names in a court of law. Let's face it; If I piped up now and accused, eg. Brucie, of putting his hand on my thigh half a f**king century ago? They'd have Him down the station and would make bloody sure the papers got wind of it. Still, I suppose it's all providing lots and lots of nice, cosy office time work for no end of coppers up and down the country.
