Travel Sickness

Lots and lots of trips out, my pup was the same, couldn't go less than 2 mins down the road before he would puke, now although he still salavates a lot he can go over an hour without puking, my local walk is only 5 mins lead walk to get there, but take them in the car insted as the more he's out the better he gets, he knows at the end of the car ride there's a fun walk so is getting less and less stressed about the car.

That is the perfect remedy I think.

Good question and I don't know the answer.

It was a tip given to me my a lady who shows border terriers and show folk don't want to show up at a show with a dog covered in it's own drool looking like shite.

But I've seen it work.

Then again I always wondered how a little strip of rubber hanging from the back of a car stops travel sickness in people ?

I think it's some thing to do with releasing the static build up in the vehicle, maybe newspaper does the same ???

I would imagine the newspaper is used for ease of cleaning the cage as it is readily available, disposable and less bother than washing out blankets etc? That's why i would use it.
