A Few In The Bag Today.

Recommended Posts

Not one for hunting this early but the owner of my permo rang and asked if i could just hit a bank as the rabbits are driving the pups nuts....and the barking was doing his head in. So packed up my hob and the kids and headed up there.

A fair few seen on the way up to the set and good size to them too. Got to the bank and i know that its split in two as far as the burrows go o started at the top end and got 3 bolted straight away ...two slipped the nets as i was dealing with one and the kids aint copped on yet to grab a bunny....bit scared when they hear the squeeling. Well my hob worked one end to the other and kept popping up here and there and i thought he had finnished working it so started taking the nets up. Still no sign of him ...got the locator out and he was near the end of the warren and then BOOM a bolted rabbit....no nets hahahahah then 30 secs later another bolted.....im fecking raging :censored: :censored: . :censored:

Any way he comes out and we start netting up the lower part of the bank and the dogs are having a good old nosey at us. Netted so sent the stinker in not long and 2 at the same time bolted ....got the pair of them. He work a warren well not just a quick look inside but stays till the job is done ....one of my best stinkers so far.....he bolts a few more then nothing. so out comes the locator and im on top of the bank and then i hear the squeeling of a rabbit.....jumped down and cant find a hole....the squeeling is coming from inside the stone wall. The locator says 0.5 so i move two stones out the way to see the rear end of a rabbit backed up against them....grab his rear and the hob is attached to the front end trying to pull him back in. Well it was good little jaunt for only a 4 hour session kids were delighted and a few took out of action and some for the pot total bag of nine for the day.post-81151-0-21244600-1376078003.jpg
