Selling Feathers

Recommended Posts

Right i know this is a weird one but ive sold a set of my harris hawk feathers that i no longer need, only its to someone in the US who is a native american and uses them for tribal purposes, she has told me she has a licence to keep native bird feathers, so is it legal for me to send them to her as a harris hawk is native over there, despite her having a licence do i need to send it to somewhere else first, just need to cover my own back dont want to be arrested for illegal smuggling haha

Thanks

Thanks for the replies, i saw two tail feathers from a male harris go for £10.50 and i had three sets one for if i need some, another for if anyone else needed them then another with 8 tail feathers that isnt needed, i say ive sold them but there still on auction for a start of £20 and ive got two people both asking to end the auction ( one the native, then someone else) for £35 but i will probably be able to squeeze £40 i think :icon_eek::toast:

The blokes onto a good little earner on there, i would have thought the primaries would have been sold easily but even those sets he does of downy feathers and a few others thrown in fetch a few bob  my £26 gone on some braided jesses from ayrshire taxidermy, and a tail crimp set of my own, money well spent though i think
