Licensing Of Low-Powered Airguns

Recommended Posts

I know this topic has been posted before but please take a moment to sign this.
Believe it or not it WILL affect all of us eventually.

Justice Cabinet Secretary Kenny MacAskill MSP has stated that he still intends to proceed with the licensing of low-powered airguns in Scotland even though 87% have rejected the proposals.
On 3rd September the Scottish Parliament’s Public Petitions Committee will meet to discuss a petition against the proposals which has already gathered almost 15,000 signatures.
Please sign the online petition now and try to save our right to own a low powered air rifle unlicensed.
Although this is happening in Scotland at the moment it is only a matter of time that it will be UK wide soon.

Biggest Question - Where do they talk about getting the Money to Bring in this Legislation -

Fire Arms Teams north and south have been cut to the Bone

As proved with the TAC Registration in 2004 - Even under the threat of a Five Year Jail Term

For having a unlicensed TAC Gun - the Majority was unregistered

Once a item has been released into Public Access - it's near impossible to get owners to register them

Especially as UK Air Guns are not required to have Fire Arms - seriel Numbers - most restart @ 001 every financial year

Plus The Rest could never find the money to enforce it north or south of the border

Most people in this game are like ostriches, they bury their head in the sand until the danger passes.
But this time the danger will not pass......it will bite you right in the arse.
Take your head for a shit and realize what is happening here and now.
They are trying to fook air rifle ownership as we know it.
Read about it, do your homework but that's whats going on.
So help yourself and air gun sport in general by signing this petition. ( Its all we can do, and all we have left )

Done.

I agree with what both Clubshot and Fieldsport have said even though they are at opposite ends of the spectrum. At one side what's the point? They don't have the resources to impliment the laws but at the other, if we do nothing and some do-gooding self serving muppet wins we're f****d in the long run.

By changing any leslation it will not help. this has sort of all ready been proven.
But by doing this the politicians will look good to the non shooting community that is their main section of voters.
Once again the victims in all this will be the law abiding rifle owners.
And not to mention by introducing a licencing system will begin another money generator for them.

Yes I am also sick of all this shit.
