Bsa R10 Head Scratcher

well am off out tonight so topped up r10 mk1

the guy at the shop filled it to what he said 200bar

but it says on the guns gauge just over 170 every time (USUALLY) but today is showed just over 200 .... anyway half hour ago i checked my zero ready for tonight ad the drop was unreal its zeroed at 30 yards but it was taking 4 mill dots to hit the target i was like S*** all the mk1 r10 bad ratings running through my head lol so i put it on the chrono (6.2ft lb) F*** ,but after i put 20 shots throught it YES !!! it was back at its usuall zero so put it back on the chrono (11.4ft lb ) can anyone shed light on this haha is it cos there must have been too much air ? thanks for reading anyway !

Mine does exactly that, it's a quirk of the regulator.

 

I fill it to 200 now and it's spot on, anything over and it's horrible. you can get a new regulator fitted for £175 or similar, but I still get 75 - 80 full power shots and rarely use over 30 on a trip so I haven't bothered.

FFSake. It happens with all kind of PC rifles There is a section on airfill that suits every typs and manafacturer of whatever gun you are using. the fill shop overfilled your guns sweet spot. just remember in future not to exceed your optimun pressure. :hmm:

For that sort of money you can get the R10 blueprint tuned by Bowkett and he tunes the regulator after rebuilding it as well!
