DazAllison1 556
After numerous times of my 170 cutting out and me fixing the connections its finally packed in, only bought this lamp new this time last year but I think its the wiring inside the actual lamp that's gone this time, is it fixable or am I just better buying a new lamp? 04fox8 168
Fix it. You have it anyway, so why go spending ££ on another one.? Mate's one packed in after a night or 2 out, but luckily mine has been ok. If you want shot of it tho, I'll give ya a tenner for it
paulus 26
dead easy to rewire, unscrew the reflector housing, drill out the pop rivet and you will probably find than one of the wires has come out of the spring loaded connector as they are not soldered. remove the bottom of the handle and remove the switch and check the other joints in the wiring

walshie 2,804
My lamp (not a 170) packed up last night due to a wiring fault - after 1 rabbit. If that hadn't happened, I'd have had 100's if not 1000's without a doubt.

Buy a Thrunite TN31 (get a neutral white tint LED if you're running dogs as it's better for picking out detail). No wires, no battery pack, has different level settings which act like a dimmer, three 18650 batteries will last about two hours, more on lower settings. I'm selling my TN31, but it's the cool white version.
