Casso 1,261
I don't let mature dogs and pups have much interaction, unless i know they are secure with each other ,normally pups can't control the force of attraction to other dogs and get spanked , which is a situation that can leave an emotional scar on its temperament , At the same time some grown dogs are confused about where on the scale of attraction a pup lies , dogs quantify everything on a prey/predator scale, an example of this is an emotionally disturbed bitch who will eat her own pups, her reading of the situation is that the pups are just too preylike , After saying that most dogs are secure enough to treat pups how they should be treated but I don't leave them unsupervised until a pup can read a social situation itself , Quote Link to post
Dan Outdoors 13
Casso, thanks for your reply, I'm keeping a keen eye on the situation, want to kerb it sooner rather than later. Thanks again Quote Link to post
