alan81 110
I got a new bitch yesterday sire is 2nd cross bull / hound and dam is 2nd cross bull / hound. she is 23 1/4" tts and 9.5 months old, solid little dog. the lad I got her of said she had never seen anything.I brought her out last night for a half hour with another dog of mine, I only saw 3 rabbits and on the first 2 she ran along side max and kept getting in his way she never even saw the rabbits. on the 3rd rabbit she ran along side max again but this time she saw the rabbit and after it she went, 3 turns later she had it. I didn't think she'd of got it in front of max been her first n all but she did. you cant judge a dog on 1 rabbit but I was glad she got it. Quote Link to post

jeppi26 1,855
I would be more bothered about getting the dog used to you first n getting her right and plenty of rd walking by the looks of her feet n don't run bunnys doubled up that's how dogs get injured Quote Link to post
alan81 110
hea lads last night was just a quick session to get her to follow now she knows what a rabbit is she'll be ran on her own. and rex26 yes she is very flat on her feet and she will be getting lots of road work before she's ran again. nothernlite she was never going to run and keep running she wont leave my side if I thought there was a chance she would have I wouldn't have brought her out. she's not my first dog.
