Owners of killer dogs may face life ?... Why not .....if you own a dog capable of killing a person its YOUR responsibility to control that dog. If your dog kills somebody, it is YOU at fault for no

but its never a case of some one breaking into your house though is it .its always little kids and women .getting killed and torn apart by illegal type dogs owned by chavs thats running wild in the ba

Yeh tell that to dennis bulger child murderd by two sick c**ts then walk free yet some c**t. With a dog is going to get 15 as thats life hang on they probley mean the dog gets the sentence knowing this government. !!!!! .

So someone breaks into your house/kennels and your dog does it job so you get life and your all ok with that????

This is bollox 16 fatal maulings in eight years considering how many millions of dogs there are in this country that's bloody low statistics to base this on.

How many of those 16 fatal maulings were intruders getting mauled by gaurd dogs? I'd hazard a guess none..........

Doesn't matter but if this goes through and combined with the proposed DDA amendments dogs are fcuked and redundant.

Look at the bigger picture.

I'm looking at the bigger picture, kids being killed by dangerous dogs is bigger than me having the right to let my dogs kill an intruder.

I don't want or need a dog to kill an intruder.

I agree with you but just putting a blanket life sentence on all cases is wrong.

Yeah I just heard on radio that different cases would be judged on their individual cases. For instance life imprisonment is one option, while 10 years is the maximum term suggested for the owner of a dog which injures a person or kills an assistance dog, such as a guide dog for the blind.
