Cleaning Your Rifle?

Just wondering what you lads use and prefer for cleaning your air rifles? I have the 97k with the nickel barrel and want to keep the barrel as clean as possible. The stock is simple to clean with it been synthetic?

When I bought my gun which is synthetic the gun shop said to clean the whole thing with car dash board cleaner it makes it look tidy like but I'm still going to buy some sort of proper cleaner that will actually protect the barrel. The stock is spot on for clean mate but like I said with it been the nickel barrel I just want to keep on top of it from marks when in the field etc, there is a few cleaners about but don't know which will be best. Cheers pal

You may want to avoid Ballistol, which is generally well regarded. It seems that it may damage nickle plated surfaces. I saw something to this effect on Youtube, which you might feel like checking. Sorry I don't have a link.

thanks for that mate, i seen a review on the rifle where the bloke was cleaning the nickel with maintenance spray on a cloth but i dont really want to try that just incase lol

I use Browning Legia on the metalwork of all my guns and on the woodwork of the beech stocked and plastic stocked (yes I have one synthetic stock gun). On my walnut stocked guns I use Walnut oil on the woodwork!
