Boot Sale Bargain

Recommended Posts

Some great pick ups on this thread. I went to the one near Tenby last week but came away empty handed. Ive never sold stuff at a carboot but I hear its murder from folk who have? People wanting stuff labelled a £1 for 5p and all that carry on.

And the thieving ,normally you pull up and you end up with 10 people crowding round back of your motor,I always park up,lock up and walk round for a look myself ,they have moved on by then.

or tell em to feck off --till your ready  thing is your early hits are the dealers and that's where you take most of your money they tend to move on and not come back--- stick price labels on be realistic --don't budge from your label price --- keep some of your better gear to one side till the dealers have gone don't put anything small or valuable that can be lifted out till the rush as gone --have plenty of change -- any bits you`ve got left and want rid end of the day stick em in a box and sell cheap as a job lot ... offer paper and bags but don't feck about wrapping it up for people it takes up time and don't be shy if someone puts there hand on it of even looks at it hit them with a price ...

I work in a recycling place and the stuff I've had is unreal. All my digging tackle...shovels, chain leads, clips, mesh and wood for runs. A shed full of new and almost new tools. Someone brought in an almost new pair of Meindl Burmas the other day, must have been worn twice at most, a size too big for me but with insoles in and a thick pair of socks they fit like a glove.

Just has a little shock, Sunday morning I was haveing the last walk around the local booty, when I spotted a large glass jug that had the emblems of Smirinoff, Pimms etc on it, so picked it up and it was a cocktail jug with measures and different recipies and the quantities etched in to the jug. We have a barby coming up so I though why not a £1 is nothing really.

When I got home everyone liked the jug, So today I had a search to see what it it was worth. turns out there was one sold last week for £25 so Out comes the camera and up goes the BIN £25 sold in 21 minutes. You just never know what will sell.
