BIG G wheton machine 1,594
it can work mate, but when your dog gets knocked up a bit below ground and its recuperation time they need to be on theyre own for a few days as they tend to be grumpy when theyre a bit sore. same goes for blood all over the walls when they shake themselves. just make sure you can read the signals the we dog gives out when sore cause you wouldn't want to accuse the dog of biting kids or anybody when sore and just wanting left alone. also the womens mothering instinct kicks in when they come back bit and YOUR the big bad man for taking them out hunting in the 1st place, so for me its workers in kennel 2 Quote Link to post
gonetoearth 5,144
All depends on the household if your wife and family are working dog people and know and understand , theres no better place than by the kitchen fire for a banged up terrier and a no one better to deliver TLC than a women who is involved. Kenneling terriers has know relevance on any working dogs ability. Kennel are just convenient nothing more , if you have many dogs its hard to keep them all in the house many people dont like dogs in there home , makes me laff when some say its not a pet its a worker yeh ok. Been in famous gundog trainers homes two or three labs in the kitchen one in the living room ten in kennels Terrier men with kennle full and two old grafters in the house , nothing better than a dog at yeh feet in the house only my opinion , but with young kids take no chances never leave any child alone with any dog full stop 6 Quote Link to post

whippet 99 2,613
a working dog in the field shows loyalty and determination ,........only courtesy that you show it the same whever that's by the fire or in a warm kennel,.....it makes no difference,.........sometimes in the winter its nice too have a dog by your feet in the house......... Rat face 1,655
i keep mine in the house for the reason that there is some right scummy c#nts around my end and a lot of kennel dogs end up been taken. always grew up with a terrier in the house, so it kinda feels right to have one kicking around 1 Quote Link to post
