NHS did not go in for holistic or Complementary Therapy.

There is now evidenced based research to support some of these therapies...

The psycological effect of a patient having a massage or aromatherapy, who is suffering from some pain (with in reason) or stress as be noted

Its got to help, its a method of guided relaxation - distraction from whats going on in a here and now situation.

NHS is starting to get into more of these areas. I dont know if the mag box will become popular tho :laugh:

We've got 3 mag boxes at work. We put dogs in them with mussel injures or just after a lot of work. Can't say it speeds healing up but they definitely calm the dog down even when took out the box and put back it there kennel the dog will stay calm for 2 to 3 hours after. Which is what I think helps recovery.but we only use our mag boxes on number 2 for 30 minutes twice a day. Like I say we use them to calm the dogs down more then anything. Atb

I worked in a few hospitals in my 35 years NHS Nursing side never came across anything like a Mag box i wonder why.

just googled it......magnetic therapy........clinical trials 2003.....1st used 2006 for leg ulcers......benefits for alzhiemers.......theres lots of clinical rather than anecdotal evidence and it would appear mainstream medicine as opposed to holistic / alternative therapists is accepting it more
