I won a holiday for a week at a five star caravan, so chose a site in the Lakes and off we set with the sprogs for some fun. First time I've been up there ... and what can I say, I'm in love with the place :D Saw plenty of game, beautiful scenery, lovely shops. By far one of the best holidays I've had. Can't wait to go back.

I think I'll skip the sleeping in the car bit, but waiting for the hounds in the morning I could do :D

We stayed at a place called Black Beck caravan park. Great place near Newby Bridge, good for the kids - nice little park and duck pond on it, safe enough to let the sprogs play out on their own, but no naff holiday club with dancing bears or owt  I was fortunate enough to get there with someone who knows the area well, so we saw a lot in the space of five days. We're actually toying with the idea of moving up that way in a year or so. I love it, it reminds me of home. I went swimming in Derwentwater on the last day and it was pure magic :D

Thanks for the comments, glad you like the photos :D
