Paulas do you keep the blade with a smear of oil or Silicone, or do use something else, or don't bother?

smear of gun oil

What difference would gun oil make, compared to All in One or any oil?

its lighter, sewing machine oil is good too.

Im pretty useless at sharpening knifes, my Daughter bought me the Lansky sharpening system, which i do okay with, i suppose a stone is the best, but I never got the hang of it.

a buffing wheel and paste on a drill gives a good edge

i've a eka swede 8, which is a folder, i use it for pretty much all tasks.

i have numerous fixed bladed knives, but i always seem to pick up the eka.

its handy kept sharp.

p.s why the hell are you lads using gun oil on a knife that you use for meat prep? i'm guessing it has a taste which will taint the meat.

cooking oil will do the same job for the carbon blades.

My favorite jess knife for Rabbit paunching, very small fits in your pocket.

He calls it a Moochers knife, i just wear it round my neck, as i lose things easy.

Very light you wouldn't know it was there, and keeps a good edge.

were can I buy one like this please thanks
