No saying its right , it happens thats why i try no to breed my animals or when i do check that its responsible folk that gets them

who are we to judge others on weither they believe a ferret is a tool of the trade or a pet :hmm:

 

same could be said about losing ferrets you dont see a huge amount of lost ads but if a dog goes missing everyone and there mother are incuraged to know

A vet is not allowed to administer an antibiotic to a ferret, because there are no antibiotics licensed for use on a ferret, so in that situation you have to do it yourself.

Ha ha ha . What a useless thread. At aged 53 I would like to think I`d be able to take people as they are by then, or just let them get on with it. Especially on a topic(fieldsports in general) we should be standing together on instead of trying to take some higher moral ground, what do you shoot with your air arms by the way, I`m sure theres plenty out there that would object to it...

Am new to this site but what I've read on others is that vets don't really know much about ferrets *not sure how true that is* . But since ferrets are becoming quite popular as a pet's I would think they know a bit more nowadays on how to treat them. If it's something simple then I can't seem there's any harm in doing it yourself but if it gets worst seeing a vet is the next option. Same if your child is ill , if she has a cold treat it with over the counter medicine if it gets worst go the doctors
