A Visit To Freddie Poole Air Arms Owners Club Member,in Florida

Recommended Posts

hi

as some may know i am in Florida and some months ago arrange to meet up with Freddie Poole from the AAOC.he is a keen AATX enthusiast and has a 9 gun TX collection, which i was privileged to shoot with him yesterday, and what a shot he is to,with several national trophies and state trophies i felt a bit out of my league.

Freddie shoots a lot of FT,using a MK1 TX with a duplex reticule 8-32 Bushnell 4200 Elite scope, and all his shooting is from the sitting position, and i can tell you it was impressive watching his groups develop.

i had the pleasure of using his MK1 TX straight out of the box, with a 8-32 Bushnell 4200 Elite scope also, cant say i got on with the 32 x mag,as the eye relief and position had to be perfect every time, try doing that when its 90 degrees and you sweating like its going out of fashion, plus no mildots :icon_eek:

but once i found my aim points on the scope,i pretty much hit every thing Freddie set out,in his 4 acre back garden,we had a few knock downs set out from 13 yards out to 55 yards and a tin can on a metal pole set at 100 yards, which Freddie hit several times from a sitting position :icon_eek:

we had a great day despite the temperatures  and had a good chat about the AATX,which led to Freddie giving me a Vortek O ring & piston seal kit for my TX  thanks Freddie.i feel a bit of fettling going on once i get back to the UK

i did get some footage of the visit "otherwise Si would be moaning at me!" :tongue2:

as this was part of my holiday there are some things i like to keep private,i did hit the tin can at a 100 yards with the MK1 TX on x 10 mag but did i video it ??? :hmm:

I have arranged to meet up with Freddie again in a couple of weeks,to do some big bore shooting, this i may video, right i have to go as the pool is waiting and the sailor jerrys is on ice
