Rabbiting Dogs

What a nice pleasant thread,..so reminiscent of the original content,.. of this unique hunting mans website....

 

As a veteran hunter, it is difficult for me to contribute to many topics,...I only hunt a few rabbits,..I don't 'do' teeth,..and my dogs would probably run away from a large deer,.and quickly give up, on a good strong hare,.so,.my posting options,... are somewhat limited,..

 

Mind you, it is nice to look back on past events, and to remember a time when 'quantity' meant nowt,..and quality,.. combined with good craic,.. was the order of the day.

This is my young bitch, she,s just short of 10 months old [ just come into effing season ] and its the first out & out rabbit hound i,v had, just waiting for the harvest now, atb, buster.

Having never had a true coney catcher, I'm loving this thread... As Phil says, it reminds me of the old days on here and makes me yearn to own a scruffy pot filler....
