Don't over do the clipping Mate..just take it as far to the quick as you dare ..and do it fortnightly after that but make sure she get's walked on the tarmac or concrete inbetween working..

she got hit on the main road outside my house, breaking jaw and back, coursing her to be paralysed so had her PTS, its a red lanyard to hold the lamp round my neck

the quick mite off grown to suit the nail,, so becare,full,,, you will no iff you have cut to far back,,lol...that's the problem when nails get left,,the quick just keeps growing,,,,,catch 22,,,

i know what you mean jim, Bryn quick are long,, and( cut) him few times, being now he dont like me cuting them, so i only take a bit of. Buck the pup are black nails, there shorter but feck me you (carnt) see the bloody quick, so what i do with both dogs is just take a little bit of, ok prob bit to long ,but saves cutting+hurting the dog, then they (wont) stand and let you do them .?

its great ray, when you can get a pup what lets you keep on top of its nails, you can nip the quick in the bud,, ern, my dog for saying hes got bull in him lol hes a wimp out of all the dogs ive add,,its bin a battle with him, mardy,,,,,,ive cut them after a nites lamping when hes dead beat,,,thats helps...or stand him in the bath with hot water in in it that makes the nail soft,,a little better to chip away at it,,,,but all this dose safe toe injurys.....
