Used to play a stack of 6 singles on mine, but if you put seven on the seventh would slide the first album we played on ours was the kinks,, bought it on the market for a few quid...the sound was brutal on them sounded like the kinks singing and eating Tayto crisps...

Guest vin
money no object. 7 x Nexo PS15 speakers 7 x Nexo LS1200 subs 4 x lab gruppen amps hook that lot up to a 7.1 HD surround system . = total truth in audio fidelity.. none of you HIFI bullshit sound. about £30 grand will sort it. Mr Wasp 187
Could be worth taking a look at a 7.1 av system. Ive just bought a onkyo av receiver which is capable of 9.1 dolby hd. Got it set up as a 7.1 system with some wharfedale speakers, active sub etc. Sound is crystal and at half volume is plenty, even for the neighbours Blu ray films are something else with dts or dolby digital. johnny boy68 11,726
Cambridge Audio and Marantz make some decent seperates, good quality and decent prices too. I had a technics like hawki had, they're good systems. http://www.richersounds.com/products/hi-fi-separates/separates/hifi-system-deals
Ideation 8,216
I got a Cambridge set up, separates with some custom built speakers. Once upon a time I was heavily into electronic music production etc. they are pretty good for the money.
stealthy1 3,964
Separates, now there's a word associated with music reproduction you don't hear a lot nowadays
dare 1,103
We used to have kef speakers might be double e, not to sure. Was my dads system and cost a couple of grand even had the speakers say on concrete slabs and they had to be a certain distance apart. Not sure why he spent so much or was so fussy half the time it went on he was pissed n fell asleep anyway. Remember coming in already abit drunk and having to hear hello is there any body in there...there wasnt he was out for the count and I'd grab whatever he had left in his bottle of wine and finish it lol.
