Stuart1985 256
Evening all Thats now been just about a week i have owned my Theoben Rapid 7. Been asking about to see what pellets others have used with the rapid. I have settled on air arms diabolo field and really happy with the results. i know i will get them tighter but that just the first groups using them. Now out to bag a few rabbits tonight 1 Quote Link to post
mole trapper 1,701
Is this off a rest or free hand? Only reason I ask is that my first rapid mk 1from a rest in .22 would literally stack pellet on pellet every time. Not knocking your shooting by the way before anyone jumps on me! Just thinking you will maybe still find a tighter group with a different pellet. Both my mk 1 and 2 which is fac like acupell and jsb best . Quote Link to post
Skot Ruthless Teale 1,701
its good enough to hunt a few rabbits with. so what if every pellet is not touching eachother, it doesn't really make a difference- we all know you can shoot from all your previous posts mate . maybe the groups will tighten with a bit more time getting used to the 'feel' of the rifle, or maybe there is a better pellet for it, but your still going to effectively hunt with it so no worries is there! nice one mate, SKoT ps il see what my hw100 groups like over the weekend and bang a post up with some pics Quote Link to post
zini 1,939
HW100 Try AA Fields. Quote Link to post
barrywhite 282
the one problem I noticed with aa they are a nice pellet .the soft lead and the theoben mag are a problem i weakened the spring in the mag a bit to solve the problem .the problem is when you load a pellet from a full mag second and third go into place with a bit of powerfull click because of the compressed mag spring .this bends the skirt on the soft aa pellet .when the mag empties it is less of a problem because the spring is less compressed .A bent pellet less accuracy . zini 1,939
I'm sure with a bit more exploration Stuart you will be able to find a better pellet for your rifle and tighten them groups up some more buddy. As Scott says though they are well good enough for any hunting situation. From what others say about Rapids and what I remember from shooting Craig's Rapid MFR a Rapid will put pellet on pellet at that range with the correctly identified pellet mate. They seem great rifles and Im well made up for you getting one buddy. From reading your many other posts its obvious that its the pellet not 100% correct for your Rapid causing the slight flyer here and there and not your shooting skill. Si. Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
The pellet that works well in my Theoben Rapid Mark 1 .22 is the humble Crosman Premier Ultra Magnum (also known as Webley Accupell). Quote Link to post
gurtwurz 792
Same here, my mk1 rapid liked crossman premier, webley accupell (or daystate li). Quote Link to post
