Help Lurcher Pup Eating Rabbits

My mates dog was the exact same up until about 2 would retrieve live to hand and then all of a sudden he switched and would run it down catch it kill it and mantle it like a hawk and eat it always starting from the inside of the leg around the groin wether it be rabbit hare deer made no difference by the time You'd get to it it would be half eaten. He even fed him small amounts before running but it made no difference it wasnt that he was hungry just loved eating his kills. Been the same since

How often does she work , seen dogs do all sorts when first out but they gradually grow out of it when they know their job .

Do you lamp her , the more work she gets the more likely she is to twig on to what's expected,

she was just brought out after a few green rabbits to give her confidence she catches them and like benchick said she them at there legs and eats them... done it to about 5 rabbits on the lamp
