barrywhite 282
I got a cheapo bi pod short 6..9 not swivel I also got a swivel 9...13 a bit better quality .the cheapo bi pod being short is a good thing less stress on its parts .the only problem I have had with the cheapo bi pod is the rubber bits that contact the stock came unstuck so I reglued them on but I glued the rubber bits so they go across rather than along the stock as they were originaly. If your rubber bits come loose you will understand try putting them back crossways it is better on my gun .you dont have to glue them to experiment . secretagentmole 1,701
1) Too short. at 6-9 unless your permission is on a bowling green, you will be continually buzzing the heads off daisies and buttercups! You need a 9-13 inch for hunting, 6-9 is for bench shooting really! 2) It is not a Harris. I bought a Harris copy, worst mistake out! The rubber pads moved and had to be taped in position. Retaining pins fell out and new ones were welded into position by the gun shop. Then the damned spring came off one leg and smacked me in the knuckles. This was after 4 months. It went in the bin! I bought a Harris. They have a lifetime warranty, are built much better and last! Edited August 1, 2013 by secretagentmole 1 Quote Link to post
stealthy1 3,964
It says value for money, which if you look at it, it is, the metal parts are a bit rough looking and the paint is flaking off the demo one in the picture, but when all is done, you get what you pay for, the cheaper ones creak and squeak like f**k when you move your gun around, but if your on a budget, and a pod will up your bagging rate, then go for it Quote Link to post

stealthy1 3,964
Never used one Andy, but most of the Deben products are not very robust, like their locators, fragile Quote Link to post

barrywhite 282
my cheap bipod 6 ...9 is fine ,.I walk about with it on 6 ,opening gates ect you can put gun on the ground .so as to open the gate quiet .if I shoot I open it up to 9 .with no swivel and short legs the gun is stable when left on the ground opening gates .I maybe use the bi pod as an aid for placing the gun on the ground more than shooting .If the grass is long I sit on the ground and shoot of my knee . 1 Quote Link to post
