Falcon Fn19 Ss Power Down

Recommended Posts

hi all, basically when i bought this gun about three years ago it was shooting at a nice 11.5 fpe. i have just checked it again and it is shooting at a rarther upsetting 8.5fpe. i have checked all of the power adjustment screws and what not but they are all screwed right in so i cant get any more adjustment. what could it be. i have also checked the bolt seal, that is fine. could it be that the hammer spring is getting weaker as time goes on?

It might be the hammer spring like you said and it's a pcp isn't it? How much air do you fill it with cause you will get the best power 10bar below the manufacturers recommendation and if you fill it it up 20 bar over it can reduce the power by up to 40%. Other than that I have no idea, others that have the gun will be more helpful. ATB with it Dan

cheers mate, yeah its a pcp and i have tried from full pressure down to min pressure but still really low. might try grinding a little off the valve stem so that the hammer can build up some more momentum before it hits the valve? but i dont think it is the hammer spring anymore as i tried sticking some washers behind it to "pack it out" but that didn't make any difference, it actually made the gun group terribly!!

It must be a simple problem o ring ,spring ,or some adjustment or lube .grinding bits sounds like mistake .Have you checked if air is leaking out of the breach area .MAKE SURE THE BARREL IS EMPTY .Hold your finger with smooth leather gloves to be safe at the end of barrel to seal muzzle end and shoot a blast of air see if it leaks out .If the gun is over 12 ft lbs may be not .with a moderator on the gun it is better less pressure .
