I was thinking more Munjac / Roe.

I have no experience with shooting deer but why would you not want to eat Munjac or Roe?. Honest question.

I recently picked up a roe that had been killed on the road. It went to the dogs although I still thought that was a bit of a waste when the meat looked perfect.

Anyone who kills deer and leaves them needs a good boot up the hole!!!

It was hypothetical as I don't hold an FAC atm. Question more for the future as I have a permission in mind and amongst the problems are deer attacking a small plantation of trees. Haven't seen the deer in question but have seen some Muntjac in the area.

In that case I'd leave the culling to someone who would benefit from the venison.

there is a few pockets of them up there, odd ones have also been shot in scotland, in 2011 two were shot in northern ireland i know they can swim but

Yes. bin bag and rubbish bin. Many times. There are no dog walkers near where I shoot. Some farms have a stink pit which the farmer lights every now and again.

Well I could have been wrong as I'm no expert and they were at a good 400 yards distance when I saw them. Were definitely very small deer, I got that much!

If we are on the subject of 101 things to do with a dead fox , anyone with a pond could try this . I hang a dead fox over the flight ponds which ive stocked with tiny carp , (the keepers son on a neighboring shoot caught them in their lakes ) before anyone thinks ive got pots of money ! The maggots drop from the dead charlie into the hungry mouths of tiny carp , soon to be hopefully big carp , if the Herons dont get em .
