lapin2008 1,587 Posted August 1, 2013 Report Share Posted August 1, 2013 I try too get my brother out with me as much as I can but he is at the age were its girls sneaking beer out the fridge staying out with friends all night only problem with kids they never stop talking I don't know how many times I've told him I will duct tape he's mouth shut I have that problem with mine, talking, singing, arguing, sword fighting with sticks the lot. I sort of just accept that I am not gonna catch as much when they are out with me, Big bags for me, insnt really the point when out with the kids anyway Quote Link to post
bird 9,973 Posted August 1, 2013 Report Share Posted August 1, 2013 Great post Wirral countryman Its about giving them exposure to the good stuff, the rest of it is up to them they will make their own way Doesnt always go according to plan mind! great pics mate, great kids ,My lad (26) , took him out lamping few times and mooching when he was that age above.But his heart was in football, and still is today, plays fro a team, and goes down the gym couple nights a week. He loves my dogs alway like to have scrap with them, but not so much with Buck lol.Enjoy you kids with the hunting (now) as 8 years time they might not want to do it .? Quote Link to post

Yeah I know what you mean, i will leave it up to them totally. My eldest is six and loves all things animals and nature at the moment anything from foraging for mushrooms/berries etc to birds, animals and hunting he is into so hopefully this will continue. kids mostly just like spending time with their Dads though so whatever I was into they would probably want to be involved in. If it were going to football or motor X or whatever they would want in at the age they are at. Just so happens that the dogs are my hobby/sport/way of life so they come along for the ride and hopefully will continue to enjoy it. They do loads of activities that are stuff that I am not that bothered about, just so they experience as much as possible and have loads of options. So they can decide to do what they want when they develop their own minds. But by f**k do I hope they are into the dogs! Quote Link to post
