wirral countryman 2,110
Lee,whilst I commend your intentions are for the good, your lads like mine and everyone elses on here will find their own way in life,my oldest lad is 26 now and came out with me from a toddler,he came digging, lamping, shooting, the full spectrum, waterloo cup, everything till the age of 8yr and then he found football,he never came again and never has,my youngest lad was the opposite, never asked to come out even though he seen me in and out with dogs, hawks, ferrets, guns, then aged 11yrs he asked me for a whippet,he's been coming out with me ever since and at 23yrs is a good all round countryman with a few hundred acres of his own permission now and 3 dogs, you can't make them do anything they don't want to do,I've got a lot of friends up and down this country and not many of their kids are active in fieldsports, the best bits when they find what girls are for LOL's but at least they are educated in the ways of the countryside and do not have a one sided view placed on them by a biased education system put in place by labour during the 90's,good luck and enjoy those precious times showing them the right ways to treat any quarry you catch,we all walk a little taller when out with our kids and those moments are what bond a good family life, atb,WM back then aged 11yr now 23yrs old and loving it Edited July 31, 2013 by wirral countryman 4 Quote Link to post
