blue staffy 145
I don't keep collie xs but that pup of borderscots or fujis don could have space in my kennel anyday , this is a x i would consider in the future as alot of ground i hunt is rough and this x would be perfect for taking the knocks and bumps Quote Link to post

paulsmithy83 567
Very good litter indeed by looks of things. Bred for the modern game that is sure to only tighten in time. One note I wouldnt even be talking of breeding for many a year it only adds more expectation for the dog and a bigger hit if they fail not saying they will but alot can happen over the next 4-5 yrs. plus stop any chance of papering over the cracks if there any short fall in mutt. I be more concentrating on working it to fullest first as these will need it Deff should be a thread for all the pups progress be interesting to hear how they get on. And that big dog is a minter 2 Quote Link to post

And that big dog is a minter I agree 100% with that....but I think the breeding talk is more of a general banter thing really... In more than 35 years I haven't bred a litter of lurchers/longdogs/curs...so breeding isn't high priority...be nice one day though... My big lad will get every chance to do what I got him for ...and I'm confident he will shine....but if not, there won't be any cracks papered over... 1 Quote Link to post
BORDERSCOT 3,816
Jack nipped over the back this morning with a ferret a handful of nets and Finn and Iolo.... From small beginnings..... It's a start anyway...he watched the big dog pick one up and behaved himself throughout....all good.... 7 Quote Link to post

Warm weather down here again looks the same up on the borders atb Dave Aye Dave another rare day here pal.... Iolo's pretty chilled out to be honest and very well mannered....it's a nice wee start for him today to see a couple of bolted bunnies...one lifted by the big lad and the other netted... We'll just keep him simmering over the winter around some ferrets and nets and work on all the mundane stuff and he might be ready to lamp one or two bunnies towards the end of the season....fingers xed...that's the plan... 3 Quote Link to post

pukerk 161
I know Phil struggled shifting the last couple of pups ? 1/8 less collie and they would have been snapped up in no time i reckon .... Have you worked this type before Lloyd ? No, not this much collie. I was just after something collie saturated for a few years. 1/8 collie more than half don't bother me to be honest. It will suit my ground just perfect As you say 1/8 less and he probably would of shifted them a lot quicker,... maybe They're not every ones cup of T, but wouldn't it be boring if we was all the same ATB 1 Quote Link to post
