mackay 3,383
yes...looks ok...for a dog with too much collie in it.. Don't think the way it looks is why some folk are questioning the percentage of collie, but more the way it acts in the field. I'm a fan of collie crosses and I agree with what some people say regarding stamina and hardiness between say a first cross and a second cross. But,I've seen racy first crosses aplenty and muscled powerhouses of second crosses, but there's a cut off in my opinion and that's fifty percent collie. Anymore and your just as likely to have the same success with a leggy racy collie. Quote Link to post

BORDERSCOT 3,816
I believe that it was 6 Andy. Possibly more. The whole litter looked good, but if i'm honest, that dog of Colins stood out from the moment we laid eyes on them. There was another bitch that caught my eye, i'm not sure what happened to her. . . . And I think you are right about him being fairly sort after for a lining if it goes well. In fact. . . . . Colin and I were wishing life away on the phone the other eve, and discussing just that . . . Hope all is well with you matey. Jai. Jai - I think there was 7 in the litter....I don't know what happened to the others apart from the ones on here...think Phil kept one for himself though... This fella I have here will hopefully figure in future plans...we'll see... Good to talk the other day...take care mate. Quote Link to post

Can't say that's been my experience at all...I've ran collie xs for a long time now and all have been out and out triers...dogs that woulda bust a gut for fun...brave and 100% obsessed and committed to the job in hand.... We all have different takes on things though.... 1 Quote Link to post
