What a smart animal!! Built to last matey dogs like these,I've said it before but why dogs of this breeding ain't more popular I will never know with the current hunting laws? You won't win a rosette but by god you will have some fun working the jukel...I REALLY do hope you have the same enjoyment out of your pup that I've had upto press with my Cur x...Atb matey and be lucky!!!

Thanks Dave,he has a belly on him like me but he will get rid of his unfortunately at my age I won't lol...aye we are bringing them along just nicely, won't be nothing major to start off with but he will put a good few to bed I'm sure of that...I'm really glad some of you lads with a bit of know how got these pups and they just didn't go to any Tom,dick or Harry ...I personally believe they have plenty to offer when it comes to hunting,I've had more than one of similar breeding and they all kept me happy...1/4,1/2,3/4 cur they ALL can and DO a job when it comes to hunting...like all types some are just better than others at the task in hand...no difference there is there lol..not everyone wants a breakneck speed merchant built like a skeleton to run amongst dense cover, rocky terrain, hills etc....or a Saluki x that can jog after a hare for 6 minutes or a 31 inch Deerhound to hunt rabbits in horse paddocks...and obviously no one wants a 3/4 Cur to go on the Fens ...it's having the best available tool for the job in hand...simple as that!!! I'm a fooking idiot because I've got most angles covered when it comes to lurchers and can hardly find the time to wipe my arse for dogs but there you go haha..

I believe that it was 6 Andy. Possibly more. The whole litter looked good, but if i'm honest, that dog of Colins stood out from the moment we laid eyes on them. There was another bitch that caught my eye, i'm not sure what happened to her. . . .

And I think you are right about him being fairly sort after for a lining if it goes well. In fact. . . . . Colin and I were wishing life away on the phone the other eve, and discussing just that . . .

Hope all is well with you matey.

Jai.

Aye all good here Jai buddy..you guys will no doubt of talked about it but there are so many options available when it comes to breeding with such a dog? No bugger wants to keep and work them but just watch the same folk come asking for a covering :-)

there are one or two of the old collie lines could do with a drop of new blood, and dogs of this type would be a perfect way to introduce it. likewise, i know a couple of people who have very racy, greyhoundy lurchers, real fast but really just mongrel greyhounds, and they would make a good cross to one of these collie curs.
