carley 0
I have a bedlington x whippet best dog we own will get stuck into anything even though he's the smallest he will never back down. Also he has a brilliant temperment. The only thing is he's not strong enough to hold anything on his own so was thinking about getting a bedlington x greyhound can anyone tell me if they are as good as the beddy x whippet ? Thanks Quote Link to post
BS40liam 203
I have a beddy whippet and tbh now she's older I sometime think I should have got a beddy greyhound, with the beddy whippet she's only 18/19tts so I'm only restricted to what her uses can be. Hope that helps atb Quote Link to post

C Hall 552
There was a guy posted on this forum that his beddy whippets could catch and hold fallow deer including bucks Edited July 30, 2013 by C Hall Quote Link to post
Country Joe 1,411
I ran both, decent dogs, the Beddy x Grey was the better lamper, the beddy x Whippet was a better ferreting daylight dog. don't know what you mean by, not holding on, beddy x Whippets are Rabbiting and Ratting Dogs, and should be well able to hold onto the above prey. Gaz_1989 9,539
I had a 3/4 grey 1/4 beddy. Excellent lamp dog. Couldn't knock the hunting up out of him in the day. But not a fault of the breeds. I'm sure it would of been different if I had of got him from a pup. Beddy/whip/grey would be a good all rounder I reckon. Quote Link to post
Ideation 8,216
Aye cos Beddy x's were only bred originally for rabbits ........ No chance! The beddyxgrey was one of the original fox x's, probs a lot more popular before the bull x. And I got my tin hat ready ...... But them beddyxwhips mentioned .... Did knock fallow over. Tin hat on lol. Not saying it was a good idea, but it happened! 4 Quote Link to post
carley 0
Thanks everyone. Yeah he's brilliant on rabbits and out ferreting can't complain at all I may look into getting a beddy greyhound for the bigger stuff thanks again Quote Link to post
BS40liam 203
My bitch is very slight and only at 18/19tts I don't think she would have any chance of pulling deer although I have seen a few 1st x beddy whippets that's much bigger and stronger which I could imagine would be capable of pulling small deer and handling teeth ( if it was legal ) but if you are interested in that sort of thing then a beddy grey would be ideal I expect..... Ideation 8,216
I 100% agree mate, it's border line insane. But it did happen, just not nice to see folk ridiculed and called liars, when it did happen, and a number of folk on here have seen it. I wouldn't try it though..... 1 Quote Link to post
