Millet 4,497
Although i think this is a piss take i will add to say that i have seen a 8mth old bitch bred year's ago by a nugget...after the pup's where weaned the bitch was passed on..a good mate of mine ended up with the bitch and what a pityfull state she was in..she had lost around 1/3rd of her body weight and some of her teeth also fell out...so in a nutshell i think it's a pretty silly thing to do.. 1 Quote Link to post

hounddog3 751
More lurchers that will be wank in the field maybe you should have a think about where the pups will end up before seing pound signs If they excel in the ring does it really matter how they are in the field? I think you've missed the boat should have covered her at 6 mth,s she could have learned the pup,s how to play. Quote Link to post

lurcher2020 285
Breeding from a bitch on her first season is dodgy to say the least: she may not have enough mental maturity to be a good mother, and she may not be physically completely mature either. But more than anything, why breed from what is little more than a pup? You only have to go on Preloved, for example, to see how many litters of lurchers there are out there, and how many people find it hard to get them sold to decent homes. this info came from a vet believe it or not its up to you however he said breed a young bitch on her first season at 11 month a year old and dunt the pups leaving 1 to take the milk then gift it as a pet this squares all the bitches inside up making her spot in for when you wish to take pups off her i waited to take pups off a 4 1/2 year old bitch she hemareged with the pups and i lost her this was because she wasnt squared up inside however i would not breed a young bitch just to sell pups atb Quote Link to post
Millet 4,497
lurch2020 you need a different vet.. 3 Quote Link to post

rob190364 2,594
Each to there own bud seriously....just because a vet has the necessary qualifications it doesn't mean they know what they're on about!!! 1 Quote Link to post
