I agree about the chest hold mind, as from experience with foxes, this seems to kill them quicker. However, if the dog does not do the job right on a chest hold, the fox will retaliate big time, causing a lot of damage to the dog!

They are here Bird there's a few breeders in the uk. They are supposed to have great temperments but I know what you mean about the wrong hands

It might be just me, but if I was hunting something that took 7 minutes to kill I'd either switch dog, switch technique...or failing that switch quarry! Not my cup of tea watching something take that long to die.

It did get like that, I`ll be honest. Every time you thought it was dead, the poor fukcer would blink.. But, at the end of the day, old darkie had sheep (or goats) grazing near by that need protecting.
