doxhope 2 Posted August 22, 2007 Report Share Posted August 22, 2007 Only things with Blackthorn a good piece is hard to find, well it is up here anyway..and. like holly which also makes a lovely stick, they take 3 years to season. Hazels much better for a beginner, is easy to get, you can find peices almost exactly what you need size wise, and it only takes 12 months to season.. Put the roes foot into the freezer till your sticks ready for it Good book, Stick dressing by Norma Tulip, The local high school where I live does stick dressing courses as night classes every year...Might be worth checking adult learning course in your area Quote Link to post Share on other sites
