Rutt Started

Saw a buck rutting last night , and a different one on another part of the estate this morning . A bit earlier than usual , perhaps this warm weather brought them on a bit . I'm in Gloucestershire by the way , any one else seen any activity ?

It was a doe that lost a fawn when the silage was getting cut so maybe that brought her on quicker as its the only action I have seen

Not had much intrest in the calls yet but have seen a few bucks chasing about. Think its just about to get going here in Berkshire.

I havn't been doing much stalking this year as my partner is almost ready to drop! Me old man has been doing it all for me. Lucky git

Funny thing is after i saw those two bucks , it seems to have gone off the boil a bit , although i was watching a buck today at a distance of about 20 yards , i got some twigs in my hand and broke them up , and he charged at me , so the testosterone is rising !!

Called a buck a week ago that caught me unawares coming from where I didn't expect it .He clocked me ,a 4 pointer .alled the very same buck again Saturday eve but I was ready and took him .A very late rut by our standards .
