Bosun11 537
Been 15 years since I last owned one but with a 4 year old Daughter and a new pup coming... This is Pinky, our new addition. Bout 8 weeks and, if I'm honest, a little 'sharp', I do hope, for both my daughters and more so my Mrs (who's new to 'em), sake, we learn to get along.... Quote Link to post

rob190364 2,594
Stick at her pal, I got an albino once and she was a right tw't, every time I picked her up she would literally go mental trying to bite me, a bit like you'd expect a wild animal to be like. She was like that for a good three weeks even with constant handling, I honestly thought she was a lost cause....and then all of a sudden she clicked and was soft as a brush. Was always a bit nippy with people she wasn't used to but with me she was bob on. Never had one so bad in the beginning, I can only assume she'd either never been handled, or been handled badly...or even abused some how. 3 Quote Link to post

rob190364 2,594
are pups easy to raise for hunting? pretty much as most of it comes natural to them....as long as they're comfortable being handled it's fairly plain sailing I prefer bolting them for the dog for the first session or two to get them used to passing through warrens, getting picked up as they exit etc.....and then have a session with the nets to get them used to them, rather than trying to get them used to everything at the same time. 1 Quote Link to post
