bloody hell , .........they make our local beagle pack look like whippets,...........lol

they some beast of beagles and very strong,............they would be better strain for the fox drag and I suppose the ones what take on the hare drag are smaller strain for the right reasons.......good luck .....

Lovley looking dogs mate how do u find them to train?

There completely different to terriers and lurchers and take a lot of repetition . I find there drive to hunt is strong it's just a matter of harnessing that drive and switching them on to the right things with a level of control if that makes any sense. In the short time I've been into them I've seen people come and go it aint easy but a whip, a horn, plenty of patience, a love for hounds and a good mentor helps. Oh yeah you've got to be relatively fit . hope that helps :thumbs:

my auntie has 2 beagles just as pets they've always got there nose to the ground and baying and seem to have selective hearing, I was guessing its down to the training didn't know if they would be a particularly hard dog to train but looks like your doing a spot on job there :-)
