stewie 3,387
for the good of football in general lets hope john henry sticks to his guns......... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23627573 suarez signed a contract and should be made to honour that and not f**k off elsewhere because he wants to!!! after missing 18 games and dragging LFC through the mud more than a few times, he should be grateful he still has a chance to play football anywhere!!! if he is forced to stay (which he should) then i wonder if we will see the best of him still............. saying that if the teams doing well in the 6 matches he is gonna miss at start of the season then he might struggle to back in...........6-0 away to the geordies without him last season and doing ok pre season with out him as well...........dont think we will need him for the minnows we play on saturday either........... He is a classy forward, a good player and good players want to win things which he won't be doing with Liverpool........as I said before, they used to be one of the teams that any top player would want to go to but sadly no more, they are at best a shop window.....somewhere for foreign talent to get a foothold in the EPL before being snapped up by a club where hopefully they can win some stuff. Arsenal are in danger of becoming one of those type of teams too except when you play at arsenal you will have better players around you than if you play at Liverpool Not a dig at Liverpool just the truth as I see it better players that have won exactly what in the last few years?? i hear what your saying tho..........if he went to real id understand but the gooners..........just dont make sense!!! Not saying they have won anything mate, but as a player you want to have good players around you because that's how you improve and IMHO Arsenal have better quality players.......not even saying he will go to north London, just used them as an example
Malt 379
I hope Liverpool stick to their guns, it's about time players were made to realise that signing a contract means they are obliged to honour it..

Playing for a team like Liverpool, especially as a forward is a hiding to nothing IMHO mate, they have consistently over played and in some cases damaged beyond repair some of the best players to grace Anfield. Any proffesional athlete must look at them after a season or two and think " f**k this" ? The reds should bow down and kiss Gerard's feet, for a player of that quality to have had to have played so much football in many cases single handed lay pulling the team out of the shit and have f**k all really to show for it in the way of honors is a disgrace IMHO

That was the beginning of the end of their 'big four' status and I can't see them getting it back any time soon IMO..

smithie 2,444
liverpool will not be selling to arsenal unless the fee is ridiculously high. liverpool believe they can fight arsenal for 4th place and it wont be much of a fight if they lose suarez to arsenal. i also read somewere real madrid want him but cant afford until next season or at least they wish to seal the bale deal first.. personaly i hope he has to stay and warm the bench never getting a game, this way other will be scared to try the same trick if they ever find them selves lucky enough to don the lfc shirt..
