On the Renewal / Grant check list, it states and I quote...." Please note that your Countersignatory does not need to be a person of 'standing' (as shown on the application form ). It 'only' needs to be someone who has known you personally for over 2 years ( as long as they are not a relative, police officer/ employee or a registered firearms dealer.)
