Malt 379
Keep it warm, hydrated and get it to the vets.. In my experience ferrets go down hill very quickly when they get really sick so time is of the essence.. Quote Link to post
foxtails 272
try and keep him at a moderate temprature,,make sure hes drinking plenty of fluids, heat stroke id say, but its only a guess, a weird one this, but hopefully someone who knows a bit more will be along soon to give you some advise hope he gets better soon mate Quote Link to post

coneyman999 17
Mist him lightly with cold water and a fan, make an electrolyte (1pt warm water, 1 tablespoon sugar or glucose is better if you have it and add a teaspoon of salt, stir well to dissolve salt then allow to drink as much as possible. skycat 6,173
Hes in my ferreting box at the mo with wood shavings and ill take him to the vets first thing in the morning Needs to be somewhere with a good flow of air: not a ferreting box in this heat. Shivering can be a sign of heatstroke, unlikely he'll be cold. Ferret that drinks for 15 minutes is very dehydrated or very ill from some other cause. Was there water in his hutch/court? joe14 98
I agree take him out of the ferreting box! If hes that weak bribg him in the house surley he cant go far. Keep him hydrated little and often and go steady with the syringe dont pump it down him quick Quote Link to post
